Thank you for your interest in becoming a marriage preparation mentor couple. Strong, faithful and loving families are essential for the future of the Church. Healthy families begin with healthy marriages and great marriage preparation. Mentor couples play a critical role in a pastorate’s marriage preparation program. Studies suggest, "Marriage preparation is perceived as most valuable when it is administered by a team….A Team made up of clergy, lay couples, and parish staff….”

How to Become a Marriage Preparation Mentor Couple at your Pastorate1) Contact your pastorate administration office to determine which clergy or staff member is responsible for marriage preparation
2) Determine if your pastorate uses a mentor couple-led or hybrid marriage preparation program
3) If so, gain permission to sign up for marriage preparation mentor couple training offered by the diocesan Office for Family Life
4) Register for mentor couple training
5) Complete a one-day training session for mentor couples
6) Contact your pastorate upon completion and familiarize yourselves with the specific marriage preparation curriculum being offered at your pastorate -
