Holy Saturday

“Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.”- Luke 24:6

Hope Rises, Alleluia!

Can you imagine the journey of these faithful women with Jesus?  They remained with him at the foot of the cross through the darkness and dying.  They stayed as his body was prepared for burial.  Their hearts are broken, but they are determined to return to the tomb at daybreak and properly anoint their Master.  What a powerful witness of love!

How does God enter my darkness and lead me into his dazzling light?

God of Hope, I pray that you keep the amazement alive in our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit and we share the love of Jesus with all we encounter like the witnesses of the faithful women and Peter running to the tomb.
