Vianney Visits alleviated my fears of discernment and made me realize I could thrive in seminary. Attending a Vianney Visit was one of my best experiences in high school. If you are a high school junior through college-age man who has not completed undergraduate studies (up to age 24) and have ever considered the priesthood, you might be wondering about your next steps.
You are not alone.
The priests and seminarians at Saint John Vianney College Seminary invite you to take a closer look at seminary life. Beginning on Thursday afternoon and concluding Saturday morning, a Vianney Visit offers an ideal look into our spiritual, intellectual, and fraternal life.
There is nothing like visiting SJV yourself. You will hear testimonies from current seminarians, attend spiritual conferences with SJV priests, pray with the community, and tour the University of St. Thomas.
You will also have the option to meet individually with the rector or priests on staff. And, you won’t leave without having some fun!

Vianney Visit Weekend & Pilgrimage Details$200.00

Travel to Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN
(Depart Nov. 14, 2024)- Particular details on arriving the airport are to be determined.
- Direct one-way flights from Indianapolis International Airport to Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport via Delta.
- Flight DL1404 departs Indianapolis at 11:20am (EST) and arrives in Minneapolis-St. Paul airport at 12:09 pm (CST)
- Flights will be booked after registration is submitted.
Travel from Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN to Carmel, IN
(Arrive Nov. 17, 2024)- We will travel home via 2-3 rented minivans driven by one of the adult chaperones. Each minivan has a 7 passenger occupancy.

The high school young men will stay at the St. John Vianney College Seminary.
Pilgrimage back to Indiana (Nov. 16-17, 2024)

FoodAll of the meals will be provided during the trip. If we predetermine to pick up food from a fast food restaurant (i.e. Chipotle), then we will send out an order form ahead of time.

*During normal food preparation at Saint John Vianney College Seminary, cooking utensils, equipment, and preparation areas are shared. As a result, SJV cannot guarantee that any food item is completely free of allergens (egg, fish, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts and wheat). If you have an extreme food allergy, we recommend you bring your own food to eat during your Vianney Visit weekend. Limited gluten-free food options are available at each meal. Some meals are eaten at the University of St. Thomas. Please visit their Dining Services page for more information.

- 2:00pm: Arrive at St. John Vianney College Seminary

Friday, November 15, 2024- Vianney Visit continues
Saturday, November 16, 2024- 10am (CST): Vianney Visit ends
- 10:30am (CST): Depart SJV Seminary and begin pilgrimage home
